Turning Tricks Entertainment proudly presents KRANK’D UP 2013. After last year’s successful launch of the music festival, KRANK’D UP is back for round two – but this time, with a special international headliner. After having been selected as the official support for Muse and Linkin Park, Australian alternative rock group Dead Letter Circus will be touring South Africa, and headlining KRANK’D UP 2013. Not only is this Brisbane-based band a much respected and revered outfit by its musical peers and lovers of alternative rock – but the influential tastemakers have fallen for them, too, as the critically-lauded Australian radio station triple j proclaimed DLC as “the most epic band in Australia,” while UK’s Rock Sound magazine described them as “Innovative. Full of tension, dimension and discord.” Across two stages, and featuring twenty-two of South Africa’s best local bands alongside Dead Letter Circus, KRANK’D UP 2013 is already geared up to be bigger than 2012’s inaugural event. Turning Tricks Entertainment owner, Duncan Bell, confirms that further developments are in place to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved. “We’re erecting a brand new outdoor stage.
